Financial support will be canvassed from central government, and from the Christchurch City Council - who have invested in Ferrymead Park's heritage projects to date. The Museum venture has been enthusiastically received by the Canterbury Community Trust, the Mainland Foundation, and several other charitable entities.
In the private sector, a tiered level of sponsorship will be available to both small businesses or larger corporations, giving significant fulfillment to sponsors by way of enhanced visibility, advertising, use of facilities and naming rights. ONTRACK NZ Ltd. has committed considerable financial support over a five year term, and others are considering proposals. Companies who donate between $1000 to $5000 of materials, expertise, or services, will be acknowledged by listing them as 'Business Friends' on an honors board inside the completed Museum.
Community service groups will be approached to help, in addition to the many railway associated groups and supporters throughout New Zealand and beyond. How can I help?
The Friendship Line This track will give permanent recognition to those who have shown their practical support for the Museum establishment funding. For all enquiries regarding fund raising please contact the Fund-raising Manager on 03 358 8215. Download Brochure (.pdf)
The Railway Map We are asking for donors to buy one or a number of the following objects of the Railway System. Benefactor names will be permanently shown against the items they support on the Railway map, testifying to their sponsorship of the railway history.
Monetary Donations Monetary donations are always acceptable for Museum purposes, and as the Museum has a Charitable status, your donations are tax deductable. Bequests to the museum may be registered with your solicitors, please ask us for the form for that purpose.
